It was a marvelous show this summer at our favorite public art venue, the Buckhead Library!
Judge Karen Adams did a fantastic job choosing our winners for the show:
The competition was fierce. But our judge was able to choose our winners!
First place: Laura Smith, Typing Table
Second place: Myong Johnston, Sunny Afternoon in the Park
Third place: Elizabeth Caperton, Oak Creek Canyon
and at the request of the Judge, we had FIVE honorable mentions!
Honorable Mention: Lin Crowley, Getting it Just Right
Honorable Mention: Carol Dew, Picnic
Honorable Mention: Mariana Kramer, La Selvia #2
Honorable Mention: Nancy Shippen Livengood, Salty Dawg
Honorable Mention: Bayberry Shah, A Meeting Under the Sun
Not everyone could win (including me!), but we all had a great time at the reception eating marvelous treats and listening to Judge Karen Adams share her expertise!

The Arts Alliance 2025 SUMMER SHOW “Sunshine Days”

It was a beautiful Summer Show, and we are so grateful to the amazing artists and volunteers that made this happen! 🙂
What’s up next? This summer and fall we have multiple artists displaying individual work including:
- EE Durham – works on canvas (August/September 2025)
- Bill Boley – Photography (September/October 2025)
- Nathan Dean – Photography (November 2025)
And as the fall pulls into winter, we will be having our glorious Arts Alliance 2025 Winter Show: Season of Celebration over the holiday season! Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming calls for artists!
